Starke Liquid Kraken Marine Grade Graphene Nano Coating

$265.00

Liquid Kraken is a true marine grade graphene coating that is formulated specifically for gel coat and marine paints. The low VOC solvent based formula carries a high concentration of graphene oxide which forms a monolithic layer of protection one atom thick. This ultra slick finish is known to reduce water spotting by approximately 50%.

Reduced water spotting is the number one selling point on why a boat owner would select a Liquid Kraken over a SiO2 based coating like Liquid Thor.

SiO2 and Graphene based coatings have relatively the same level of gloss and durability. The life span of the coating will be a function of how often the vessel is used, stored and maintained. A general time frame would be roughly up to 12 to 24 months of protection before you would reapplication.

How to Use Liquid Kraken

  1. Prepare the Surface:

    • Wash and dry your boat thoroughly to remove any dirt, grease, or contaminants.
    • Decontaminate the surface using a clay bar if necessary.
    • Polish the surface to remove oxidation, scratches, or other imperfections for the best results.
    • Wipe down the surface with an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution to ensure it is clean and residue-free.
  2. Application Conditions:

    • Work in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
    • Ensure the surface is cool and dry before applying the product.
  3. Apply Liquid Kraken:

    • Shake the bottle well before use.
    • Apply a small amount of Liquid Kraken onto an applicator pad.
    • Use a crisscross pattern (horizontal and vertical passes) to spread a thin, even layer of the product over a small section (2' x 2') of the surface.
  4. Allow the Coating to Bond:

    • Let the coating sit for 1-2 minutes, or until it begins to slightly haze. Avoid letting it dry completely.
  5. Buff Off Residue:

    • Using a clean, high-quality microfiber towel, gently buff off the excess product until the surface is slick and glossy.
    • Flip to a dry side of the towel for a final pass to ensure all residue is removed.
  6. Cure Time:

    • Allow the coating to cure for at least 24 hours in dry conditions before exposing the vessel to water.
    • Avoid washing the surface during this time for optimal bonding.
  7. Maintenance and Reapplication:

    • Maintain with regular cleaning using soap and water; avoid abrasive products that can degrade the coating.
    • Reapply as needed, typically within 12-24 months depending on the vessel's usage, storage, and care.

Tips:

  • Use a test spot to ensure proper application before proceeding with the entire surface.
  • Store the product in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly sealed to prevent contamination or drying out.
  • For an enhanced shine and additional hydrophobic properties, pair with a compatible marine-grade detail spray or maintenance product.

Liquid Kraken creates a graphene shield for your boat, offering reduced water spotting, superior slickness, and exceptional durability. 🛥️✨
