Starke Simple Clean Multi-Purpose Cleaner

Starke Simple Clean (SSC) is an MPC (multi - purpose cleaner) designed to tackle all of those tough stains where Pure Clean just isn’t strong enough. We recommend this product be used ion lockers, bilges, vinyl cushions, plastic, engine rooms, etc. SSC also makes an unbelievable pad cleaner as it loosens caked polish and wax easily while “simply” rinsing away quickly without chasing suds.

SSC is also an excellent black streak remover on all gel coat & paints, but we really only recommend this prior to polishing & sealing as Simple Clean will remove waxes if used regularly as most MPC’s do but fail to tell you. SSC also does a fantastic job on cleaning non-skid decks, especially at getting compound stains after the cutting phase of the polishing process, so please remember to keep your hull rinsed if it’s been freshly polished and waxed. If you have ceramic coating installed, no need to worry, SSC won’t degrade or remove the coating. 

How to Use Starke Simple Clean (SSC)

1. Preparation:

   • Identify the area to be cleaned (e.g., lockers, bilges, vinyl cushions, plastic, engine rooms, non-skid decks, etc.).
   • Ensure the surface is cool and dry before application for optimal results.

2. Application:

   • Spray Simple Clean (SSC) directly onto the surface to be cleaned.
   • For tougher stains or heavily soiled areas, allow the product to sit for a few minutes to penetrate and loosen debris.

3. Cleaning:

   • Use a brush, sponge, or microfiber cloth to scrub the area gently.
   • For pads with caked polish or wax, spray directly and agitate to loosen the buildup.

4. Rinse:

   • Rinse the area thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue.
   • For non-skid decks, use a deck brush to scrub and then rinse away stains or compound debris effectively.

5. Post-Cleaning Care:

   • If using SSC on gel coat or paint, reapply wax or sealant after cleaning, as SSC will remove waxes.
   • No need to worry if a ceramic coating is installed—SSC is safe and won’t degrade or remove the coating.

Additional Tips:

• Use Sparingly: A little goes a long way; avoid over-spraying.
• Black Streaks: SSC works great for removing black streaks, but reserve its use for pre-polishing and sealing to avoid unnecessary wax removal.
• Freshly Polished Hulls: Keep your hull rinsed during use to prevent compound stains from setting.
