Ignition is a combined light compound and finishing polish that utilizes the latest in synthetic abrasive technology along with some amazing new raw materials that together offer one of the best finishes we've ever seen.

How to Use Ignition:

1. Prepare the Surface:

   • Clean and dry the paint or gel coat thoroughly to remove any dirt, debris, or contaminants.
   • For optimal results, ensure the surface is cool to the touch and free from heavy oxidation or scratches.

2. Choose Your Equipment:

   • Recommended Pads: Use foamed wool for best results. You can also use wool blends, multi-use foam pads, or finishing pads based on the desired outcome.
   • Polisher: Works effectively with both rotary and dual-action polishers.

3. Apply the Product:

   • Apply a small amount of Ignition directly onto the pad or the surface you are working on.
   • Distribute the product evenly on the surface using your polisher on a low speed to prevent splatter.

4. Polishing Process:

   • Increase the polisher speed gradually and work the product into the surface using steady, overlapping passes.
   • For removing light oxidation and swirls, focus on one section at a time for even results.
   • A swirl-free finish can typically be achieved using just a rotary polisher on 99% of finishes.

5. Inspect and Buff:

   • Check your work periodically to ensure even polishing and clarity.
   • Once the surface appears polished and swirl-free, use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe off any remaining residue.

6. Follow-Up:

   • If desired, finish with a protective sealant from Starke’s product line for enhanced gloss and durability.

Tips:

• Ignition works on both paint and gel coat surfaces.
• For darker surfaces or those requiring an ultra-refined finish, consider a follow-up with a dedicated finishing polish.
• Store the product in a cool, dry place when not in use to maintain its effectiveness.
