Elevate is a marine grade medium cut compound that delivers amazing cutting power while finishing virtually almost swirl-free. Elevate is a non-dusting, synthetic-abrasive polishing compound specifically designed to combat today's harder paints, clear coats, & gel coats.
Elevate will easily remove scratches and swirls created from Restructure while perfectly preparing the surface for the next step, our swirl remover, either Ignition or Triple P. After this step, follow with Starke Sealant of choice. Many detailers, especially on white surfaces, will decide Ignition is not be needed because of the excellent finish that Elevate leaves.
Elevate can be used on both paint and gel coat, designed to remove 1200-1500 grit sand scratches. We suggest using wool, foamed-wool, or a medium grade foam pad while polishing on either rotary or random-orbital polisher.

How to Use Starke Elevate Marine-Grade Medium Cut Compound
Restore your boat’s paint or gel coat with Elevate, a medium-cut compound designed for exceptional cutting power and near swirl-free results. Follow these steps to achieve a flawless finish:
Step 1: Surface Preparation
Wash the surface thoroughly to remove dirt, grime, and contaminants.
Dry the surface with a clean microfiber towel.
If necessary, sand the surface to 1200-1500 grit for deep scratches or imperfections.
Step 2: Choose the Right Pad and Tool
Pads: Select a wool, foamed-wool, or medium-grade foam pad based on the level of cutting required.
Polisher: Use either:
A rotary polisher for aggressive cutting.
A random-orbital polisher for a more controlled and swirl-free finish.
Step 3: Apply Elevate Compound
Dispense a small amount of Elevate onto the pad.
Spread the compound evenly over a small section of the surface before starting the polisher to avoid splatter.
Step 4: Begin Polishing
Start the polisher at a low speed to evenly distribute the compound.
Gradually increase speed for more cutting power, maintaining consistent, moderate pressure.
Work in overlapping passes to ensure complete coverage and an even finish.
Monitor your progress, inspecting the surface regularly.
Step 5: Wipe and Inspect
Once satisfied with the results, wipe off any remaining residue with a clean microfiber towel.
Check for uniformity and clarity in the finish.
Step 6: Decide on Next Steps
If Additional Swirl Removal is Needed: Use Ignition or Triple P swirl remover to achieve an ultra-smooth finish.
For White or Light Surfaces: Many detailers find Elevate’s finish sufficient without further swirl removal.
Step 7: Protect the Surface
Apply a Starke Sealant of your choice to lock in the finish and provide long-lasting protection.
Pro Tips
