Starke Liquid THOR Nano Ceramic Marine Coating
Liquid Thor is an advanced marine grade nano ceramic coating made with the installer in mind. The sophisticated carrier agent is a low VOC solvent that has amazing work time and is able to suspend and efficiently transfer high levels of Si02/Ti02 nano particles and UV inhibitors to the gel coat, marine paint, glass, metal, vinyl, plastic and isinglass.
How to Use Liquid Thor
-
Prepare the Surface:
- Wash the boat thoroughly with a high-quality boat soap to remove all dirt and grime.
- Decontaminate the surface with a clay bar to remove embedded particles.
- Polish the surface to eliminate oxidation, scratches, or imperfections for the best adhesion and gloss.
- Perform a final wipe-down with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to ensure the surface is completely clean and residue-free.
-
Application Conditions:
- Work in a shaded, cool, and well-ventilated area.
- Ensure the surface is completely dry before application.
-
Apply Liquid Thor:
- Shake the bottle well before use.
- Use a soft foam applicator or microfiber applicator pad to apply a small amount of Liquid Thor.
- Spread the product evenly in a crisscross pattern (horizontal and vertical strokes) over a small section (2' x 2') of the surface.
-
Wait for Flash Time:
- Observe the coating as it begins to flash. This may take 1-3 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.
- Do not let the coating fully dry on the surface.
-
Buff Off Residue:
- Using a clean, high-quality microfiber towel, gently buff the area to remove excess product.
- Switch to a fresh microfiber towel for a final pass to ensure a smooth, streak-free finish.
-
Cure Time:
- Allow the coating to cure for 12-24 hours in dry conditions before exposing the boat to water or moisture.
- Avoid washing the boat during this time for optimal bonding.
-
Maintenance:
- Clean regularly with a pH-balanced soap; avoid abrasive cleaners that may degrade the coating.
- Use a compatible ceramic maintenance spray to boost gloss and hydrophobic properties between applications.
-
Reapplication:
- Depending on environmental conditions and usage, reapply Liquid Thor as needed, typically every 12-24 months.
Tips:
- Test on a small, inconspicuous area before applying to the entire surface.
- Apply in sections to maintain control and ensure an even finish.
- Store the product in a cool, dry place with the cap tightly sealed to preserve its effectiveness.
Liquid Thor creates a durable, glossy shield on gel coat, marine paint, glass, metal, vinyl, plastic, and isinglass—delivering long-lasting protection and brilliance. 🌊✨
